Effective 23 October 2026
Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Argus Technology Corporation operates OpenInfluencer. We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at privacy@openinfluencer.ai.
2. What we collect
- Account: your email address, and a hash of your password. We never store the password itself.
- Content you give us: character descriptions, product links and text you paste into a brief.
- Generated material: images, videos and storyboards produced for your account.
- Usage: which generations ran, what they cost, and technical events such as errors.
- Payment: records of credit purchases. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach us.
- Technical: IP address and request logs, kept to run and secure the service.
3. What we do not collect
We do not ask for photographs of real people, and characters are generated from descriptions only, so we do not process biometric identifiers or likeness data of identifiable individuals.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We do not ask for photographs of real people, so we hold no biometric identifiers from you.
4. Why we use it
- To provide the service you asked for, which includes generating your videos: contract.
- To take payment and keep accounting records: contract and legal obligation.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix faults: legitimate interest.
- To tell you about material changes or a problem with your account: contract and legal obligation.
- To count visits to our public pages so we know which ones work: legitimate interest.
5. Who we share it with
We share the minimum needed, under contracts that limit use to providing the service:
- Stripe, to take payments and send receipts.
- Model providers, who receive the prompt text and any reference images needed to generate your output.
- Google Analytics, which counts which pages are visited. It runs on the public pages only, never inside the studio, and it receives no account details.
- Hosting and storage providers, who run the servers and store the files.
- An email provider, once email is enabled, to send verification and account messages.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
6. Where it is processed
Our providers are based mainly in the United States, and data may be processed there. Where personal data from the UK or EEA is transferred, we rely on the standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
7. How long we keep it
- Account and content: while your account exists, then deleted within 30 days of closure.
- Generated files: while your account exists, or until you delete them.
- Request logs: 30 days.
- Payment and tax records: as long as accounting law requires.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, or object to processing based on legitimate interest. If you are in California, you also have the right to know what we collect and to opt out of sale or sharing, which we do not do.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@openinfluencer.ai. We will respond within the time the law allows. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Cookies
We use one essential cookie: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. We store your light or dark theme choice in your browser, not on our servers.
On the public pages we use Google Analytics, which sets its own first-party cookies to count visits. It is not used for advertising, it is never loaded inside the studio, and it sees no account details. You can block it with any content blocker or by disabling cookies for this site, and the product still works.
There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
10. Security
Passwords are hashed with scrypt and a per-password salt. Sessions are random tokens stored only as hashes, sent over HTTPS in an HttpOnly cookie. Access to production systems is limited and logged.
If you find a security problem, please tell us at security@openinfluencer.ai.
11. Children
The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
12. Changes
If we materially change this policy, we will tell you by email or in the product before the change takes effect.
